1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern the use of the Duero Douro Industrial Tourism platform, developed under the IN-GENIOS project (code 0247_IN_GENIOS_DUERO_DOURO_2_E), co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 programme. By accessing the platform or creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. The service
The platform promotes the industrial heritage of the Duero/Douro region: visitable routes, articles, events and practical information. Access is free of charge. Some features (creating routes, reviewing, commenting, saving favourites) require a registered account.
3. Your account
- You must provide truthful information when registering and keep it up to date;
- The account is personal; you are responsible for keeping your password confidential;
- You may delete your account at any time — data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. User content
The platform lets you publish your own content: routes, descriptions, images, GPX files, reviews and comments ("user content").
- Your content remains yours. We do not acquire ownership of what you publish;
- By publishing, you grant the project a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, display, translate and distribute that content on the platform and in the project's communication materials, for as long as the content remains published;
- You warrant that you hold the necessary rights over what you publish (including photographs and tracks) and that the content does not infringe third-party rights;
- You may remove your content at any time; the licence ends upon removal, without affecting uses already lawfully made.
5. Moderation
Routes submitted for publication, reviews and comments are moderated by the project team before or after becoming visible. We reserve the right to refuse, unpublish or remove content that breaches these terms or the law, and to suspend accounts in cases of repeated abuse. You may challenge a moderation decision by writing to info@tourexperience.com.
6. Rules of conduct
In particular, it is forbidden to:
- Publish unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or offensive content;
- Publish third parties' personal data without authorisation;
- Infringe copyright or other intellectual-property rights;
- Publish spam, unsolicited advertising or misleading content;
- Attempt to compromise the platform's security or access other users' areas and data.
7. Platform intellectual property
The visual identity, institutional texts and editorial content of the platform belong to the IN-GENIOS project and its partners or licensors. They may be cited for non-commercial purposes with attribution; any other use requires prior authorisation.
8. Availability and liability
- The service is provided "as is", in the context of a cross-border cooperation project, with no guarantee of continuous availability;
- Information about routes and sites (opening hours, access, path conditions) may contain errors or become outdated — confirm conditions before any visit;
- Visits and routes are undertaken at your own risk; assess your fitness and the terrain and weather conditions;
- Nothing in these terms limits rights granted to you by mandatory law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or in the law. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page; significant changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law and contact
European Union law applies and, depending on the user's residence, Portuguese or Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. For any question about these terms: info@tourexperience.com.
